Man in the Moon’s Procyon

This one's a keeper! Gemma's dam was the last Elite Maximus offspring and her sire is a 4X Judges Choice male who was also the 2017 AOA National Supreme Light Male Champion, Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede. Gemma's fleece is fine and uniform with excellent character and staple length, and it has only gotten better. We think she’ll carry fineness and uniformity well into maturity and impart these characteristics into her offspring. We’re excited for what she’ll to produce! Gemma’s first offspring, Procyon, was born in the Fall of 2024. He’s a beautiful male that we hold high hopes for as a possible herdsire. Unfortunately, it was a difficult birth, so much so that we made the difficult decision to take her out of the breeding program, as another birth could put her life at risk. We’re so grateful to our friends at Point of View Alpaca Farm that they’ve agreed to add her to their Walk An Alpaca program. Her calm disposition should work well, and we’re certain her sweet personality will bring joy to their clients and a new purpose for her that we think she’ll enjoy. Thank you, Dave and Teri Grembi!
