We’ve decided to retain Ursa’s Spring 2026 cria, Leda, so Ursa won’t be available until her cria is weaned this Fall. Ursa is a really sweet Zagato daughter, with exactly the kind of fleece one would expect from her sire. She has a power packed pedigree -- her dam is a 7X Champion, and her sire, Sunset Hills Zagato, needs no introduction. Zagato is now residing at Happy Hounds Alpaca Ranch in Sisters, OR. Zagato's stud fee is currently $4,500...so we're happy to have gotten our girl before her sire moved out west. Ursa's full sister is a multiple-Champion, too. No better way to pass these genetics forward.

Ursa has a soft and fine fleece that carries excellent density with very good crimp and staple length. We showed Ursa at the 2023 Fall Buckeye, and considering the competition, she did very well, and her fleece has only gotten better!

Ursa produced her first cria, Leda, out of AMAF Double Barrel, an incredible multi-Champion and Judges Choice male, who just won the white male Color Champion and Spirit of the Industry award at the 2025 AOA National Fleece Show as a mature male! UPDATE: Ursa’s white female cria arrived on 4/26/26. Info coming soon!

Purchase Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer.
