Arya is a special girl and one of the sweetest on the farm -- she's even easy going when she's bred. Arya’s Fall 2023 cria out of Man in the Moon’s Rigel was much anticipated and he arrived on 11/28/22. There was only one hitch — he was breach upon presenting, with a little tail poking out instead of the expected nose and toes. We loaded Arya up and headed to the vet right away, but she had yet another surprise for us. Upon arrival, we opened the trailer door, and there sat her new cria — delivered backwards all by her self! Rare and unusual that this happened but we’re very thankful! No C-section required.

A little about Arya's well-known sire, Quixotic...He is phenotypically gorgeous and his fleece is outstanding. As a very young juvenile his fleece won First Place and Grey Male Color Champion at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show…an amazing accomplishment for a juvenile grey fleece. Quixotic's crias hit the ground starting in 2015. Some of his offspring have been out and about in the showring and have earned top awards at several highly competitive shows, earning both Championships and Judges’ Choice awards. Cloverleaf Alpacas Man of Steel is just one example of the quality in Quixotic’s offspring and he is a true standout in the greys, earning top awards at every show he was in!

Purchase Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer.
